All praise for dfree!!!

Just back from a camping trip and a copy of this DVD is sitting in my post box all the way from the U S of A.

First up this is no oridinary bootleg or fan vid, this is the kind of thing us NMN fans would happily have parted with cash for. Fresh from the 2010 tour you get the band blasting through a great set of old n new songs caught on 3 cams (front left and right and one at the rear). You may have seen bits on youtube but this concert needs to be seen as the finished product to be fully appriciated.

When you pop the bit of plastic into the DVD player you will see a well designed and colourful menu page ( :D )with the option to watch the full gig or jump around individual songs on the set list.
The full gig starts with a wicked intro featuring groovy music, visuals and awesome live photograhy, straight away your sucked in with the quality. The band kicks of and it dosent dissapoint, both front cams have excellent positions with the rear view adding to the dynamic.
Overall the sound is great, a bit of distorted on `all lies` but dfree goes to town with his editing skills on this track so it still stands out as one of my highlights of the DVD. The other songs i think are exceptionly put together are `Something dark, Metronome and Catching up.

Dave, you have done a fine job on this project
"your a true bloody legend, mate" as they say downunder.

do whatever it takes to get your hands on a copy of this DVD, you wont be dissapointed. :broccoli
Oh, and the credits, dont anyone skip the credits

dfree, thanks again
:beer
(how about a full tour doco next year :lolz: )

I sit hear with tears in my eyes...this is the nmn song that make me cry.
mrmong that is the nicest thing anyone has said about my work. This made the effort worth it. Any complaining I have ever done associated with this project I take back and profusely apologize for.
Yesterday I got laid off/suspended from my job as an editor/videographer...I too punk rock for my own good…my own fault. I went on a humous tirade over a walkie talkie…after hours… a dfree incoherit babble at least ….in the AV department…..didnt know that that it went to campus police…FCC and all that….…oooppsss…the “rant”. ….it involved my forefathers not being able to afford shitter paper. To wipe their ass with.......I will be alright....I do not tell you that out of sympathy...just that it may be a min on the final product...I dont want you all to think I am dragg my ass.......Well I gues.. That is not entirely bad news because...it gives me time to work out some of the bugs as far as burning it goes. Some of team Alpha was having trouble playing the discs. I also had a friend playing the disc in his xbox 360 and couldn’t get it passed the first three songs.

I still have a few things here and there to work out....man, mrmong thank you thank you thank you I needed to hear that this morning.
Once it gets done I will announce it. I will accept no money for this…do you hear that John C?
I may get with my man and NMN historian martijn as far as distribution. I jokily offered someone affiliated with the band to hand it out free with purchase of EP2. They didn’t laugh as hard as I did.

Thank you again mrmong, great work on the cover also, MAFFISH, martijn and burekas contributed work to this DVD. I cannot take credit on this alone. To me it is amazing that a guy from Nebraska now in Kansas City got help from a guy in Chitown formally of Texas and a lovely lady from Japan now in New York and a Guru in Belgium. All came together from the corners and nooks of the earth for the love of the greatest band in the history of sound.

;Nuff said.

Also much thanks to the WTF? comedy show. Matt Nail, Jesse Turney, Dale Hilton. As well as Steve and the Record Bar. Bands if you need a home to play for a night or two look them up. And the award goes to...thats it for my speeches today kiddos.

DFree- would it be possible for you to offer the final product to the band (i.e. Chedsey) as a gift. They can print up copies or publish/host it or provide it as a freebie along with each hoodie at the merch table etc.
If significant profits are made, they might even refund your costs.

I guess that question is also aimed at John C.
Just thinking out loud. Don't mean to cause hassle.

I dont think they want anything to do with it. Good suggestion though.
mrmong is very nice. It is good but not that good. Good as the last punkervision vid? No, but for a fan boy love letter it doesnt get any better. I am realizing though it is not my love letter, it is a gift from the board. And that is a beauty of a thing.

I would be glad to help with the passing out of said DVD.
I'll be seeing Rob in a week or so, I'll ask him how he feels about bootleg DVDs.
If they're non profit then it's probably no biggie.

It is fair to reimburse the person burning and shipping the DVDr for costs of material and postage.
